0Frequently Asked Questions
How does MMR work?
MMR (Matchmaking Rating) starts at 1500 for every new player. Wins increase your MMR and losses decrease it. The amount gained or lost depends on the opponent's MMR. Beating a higher-ranked player gives more points than beating a lower-ranked one.
What are the 8 tiers?
From lowest to highest: Rookie (0-999), Pro (1000-1399), All-Star (1400-1599), Superstar (1600-1799), Elite (1800-1999), Legend (2000-2199), Mythic (2200-2399), and Immortal (2400+). Your tier updates after every verified match.
How often do rankings update?
Rankings refresh within seconds of a match result being verified. There is no batch processing or overnight delay. Upload your box score, both teams confirm, and your MMR adjusts immediately.
Do rankings reset between seasons?
Yes, with a soft reset. MMR compresses toward the midpoint (1500) by a fixed percentage. A Diamond player might drop from 1550 to 1350. This keeps experienced players near the top without making early weeks feel pointless.
