League Rules
Every rule below is enforced by the automation engine. No human has the authority to override routine enforcement, including the four co-founders. Appeals are reviewed by a second bot pass, not a person. Same standard for everyone.
SCOPE
This rulebook governs the Triple Threat (season-long rosters, ranked matches, MMR ladder). DGC ruleset (UPA-validated) governs in-game play; everything below applies to draft league play.
THE ENFORCEMENT COVENANT
“The bot is the authority. The rules engine is the law. No human veto on routine enforcement. No side-deals in DMs. No ‘well this player is my friend.’ The automation is the standard and it applies the same to everyone, including any of the four founders.”
No-Show / Did Not Complete Play (DNCP)
If you are scheduled for a match and do not show up within 15 minutes of the start time, the match is flagged for commissioner forfeit review. The commissioner decides whether a forfeit is recorded. Repeat forfeits may lead to suspension at the commissioner's discretion.
Roster Lock Violation
After the roster lock deadline (48 hours before playoffs), no roster changes are permitted. Any team caught playing an unrostered player forfeits the match.
Gamertag Change Without Payment
If you change your Xbox or PSN gamertag on console without paying the $2.99 name-change fee (or using your monthly tier allowance), your account is locked within 24 hours. You cannot access Discord, ranked matches, the prize pool, or any platform features until you resolve the change.
Team Switching Mid-Season
Once drafted or rostered to a team for a season, you cannot switch teams until the season ends. Dropping from your team counts as voluntary withdrawal and you forfeit your entry fee.
Stat Manipulation / Screenshot Fraud
Submitting manipulated screenshots, doctored stats, or another player's game session is grounds for immediate and permanent ban. The OCR engine flags statistical anomalies (e.g., 80-point games from a player averaging 12). Flagged submissions go to automated review.
Conduct / Toxicity
Slurs, threats, doxxing, or targeted harassment in any Check Up channel (Discord, in-app chat, team messages) are not tolerated. The bot scans messages for flagged terms. First offense is a 24-hour mute. Second is a 7-day suspension. Third is permanent.
Smurf / Ghost Accounts
Every player must have a verified Xbox or PSN account linked to their Check Up profile. Creating a second account to circumvent a ban, manipulate matchmaking, or game the draft is a permanent ban on all accounts. The verification system cross-references console IDs to detect duplicates.
Match Result Disputes
If both teams disagree on a match result, either team can file a dispute within 2 hours of the match. The bot re-evaluates the submitted screenshots and stat lines. If the dispute is upheld, the match is reversed. If frivolous, the disputing team receives a 100 coin fine.
Entry Fee Non-Payment
Season registration requires a $10 player entry fee or $100 coach entry fee paid via Whop at registration. If payment fails or is disputed/charged back after the season starts, the player is removed from all rosters and suspended until the balance is settled.
Lag-Out / Disconnect Protocol
If a player disconnects during a match due to lag or a server issue, the game is paused. Both teams have 5 minutes to reconnect. If the disconnect happens in the first half and the score differential is 10 or less, the game restarts from scratch. If the disconnect happens in the second half or with a differential above 10, the team leading at the time of disconnect wins. Server rotation alternates east/west each game to ensure fairness. All disconnects must be reported in the #disputes channel within 30 minutes.
Streaming Requirement (Season 2+)
Starting Season 2, all ranked matches must be streamed on Twitch, Kick, or YouTube by at least one player per team. This serves as evidence for dispute resolution and feeds the league content engine. Players who link a verified streaming account receive a 'Verified Streamer' badge and priority in highlight reels.
Fee Schedule
Player entry: $10/season. Coach entry: $100/season. Gamertag name change: $2.99 (or monthly tier allowance). Roster change mid-season: $5. Team rebrand: $25. Ownership transfer: $25. Emergency playoff substitute: $35. Late registration: $15 surcharge. All fees are non-refundable except through the full-attendance refund pool (complete all scheduled games to qualify for a refund of your entry fee).
Appeals Process
Every enforcement action can be appealed within 48 hours. Appeals are NOT reviewed by a person. They are reviewed by a second automated pass that re-evaluates the same data plus any new evidence you upload. The appeal decision is final. No human has the authority to override routine enforcement, including the founders.
Common Questions
How are rules enforced?
By the automation engine. Forfeits, suspensions, fines, and stat-fraud bans are all triggered by code reading match results, OCR output, and Discord activity. No human approves a routine enforcement.
Can a founder override a ruling?
No. The covenant is explicit: no human has the authority to override routine enforcement, including any of the four co-founders. If a rule fires on a founder, it fires the same way.
How do I appeal an enforcement action?
File the appeal in the in-app Appeals queue within 48 hours. A second automated pass re-runs the same data plus any new evidence you upload. The decision is final and is also automated.
What happens if both players disconnect?
R10 applies. Both teams have 5 minutes to reconnect. First-half disconnects with a 10-or-less differential restart from scratch. Second-half disconnects or larger differentials award the win to whoever was leading at the time of disconnect.
Where do I report another player?
Toxicity and conduct violations go through the Discord auto-mod scanner (R06). Stat-fraud or smurf-account suspicions go to Stat Manipulation review (R05) or Smurf review (R07); attach screenshots and the bot opens an automated case.
Are entry fees refundable?
Per R12: entry fees are non-refundable except through the full-attendance refund pool. Complete every scheduled match in your season and you become eligible for an automatic refund of your entry fee.
