What tournament formats does Check Up run?
Check Up hosts single-elimination, double-elimination, and round-robin tournaments for NBA 2K26. The inaugural event is a 5v5 double-elimination weekend bracket (Bo1 through Round of 16, Bo3 from the Elite 8). Formats vary by event and are shown on each tournament card before you register.
How much are tournament entry fees and where does the money go?
Entry is set per tournament. The inaugural 5v5 is $75 per team for the full 5-player roster, and the prize pool is player-funded with a $500 guaranteed floor, growing to $2,000+ as teams register. Check Up takes zero cut from tournament entry fees, so every dollar you pay competes for goes back to the winners.
When does registration close for a Check Up tournament?
Each tournament has its own registration deadline displayed on the tournament card. Once registration closes, the bracket is locked and no late entries are accepted. Register early to guarantee your spot.
How are prize pools calculated in Check Up tournaments?
Prize pools are guaranteed for headline events (the inaugural 5v5 carries a $2,000+ floor and grows as registration overflows the soft target). For community-run brackets the pool is funded entirely by team entry fees. Payout splits (1st, 2nd, 3rd) are shown before the tournament starts.
