2K26 archetype tier list (monthly)
Last reviewed recently
This tier list ranks archetypes based on verified match data from Check Up. Win rate, plus/minus, and frequency of selection all factor in. The list updates monthly as patches shift the meta and players figure out new combinations. Treat it as a snapshot of what is working right now, not a permanent verdict.
S-tier archetypes consistently produce win rates above 55% in ranked matches. These are the builds you will see in most playoff squads and on the leaderboard. They are not unbeatable, but they give you an edge before the game even starts because the attribute spreads and badge access line up with the current patch mechanics.
A-tier archetypes are competitive at every level. They sit between 50% and 55% win rate and are viable for any team composition. Most top players have at least one A-tier build in rotation. The difference between S and A often comes down to a single badge tier or a few attribute points that matter in specific matchups.
B-tier archetypes work but require more skill to compensate for their limitations. Win rates hover around 48% to 50%. You can win with them, especially if you know the matchups and play to the build's strengths. They tend to have one clear weakness that good opponents will target.
C-tier and below means the numbers say you are fighting uphill. These archetypes have sub-48% win rates in ranked play. That does not mean they cannot win individual games, but over a full season the disadvantage compounds. If you are running a C-tier build and climbing, you are probably a better player than your MMR suggests.
Check the builds page for the live data. Filter by archetype, sort by win rate, and look at the sample size before drawing conclusions. An archetype with a 70% win rate across 4 games means nothing. One with 53% across 200 games means a lot.
