Arena Picks is the prediction game built into Check Up. It lets you put your basketball knowledge to use by calling outcomes on upcoming matches, tournaments, and league events. Correct picks earn coins that feed into the season economy. Wrong picks cost nothing beyond your pride.

Each prediction window opens when a qualifying event is scheduled. For regular matches, picks open once both players confirm a matchup and close when the game tips off. For tournaments, you can pick winners for the full bracket before the first round starts. The Arena Picks page in your player panel shows all active windows, their close times, and the current odds.

Placing a pick is straightforward. Select the event, choose your predicted winner, and confirm. You wager coins from your balance on each pick. The minimum wager is 10 coins and the maximum is 500 per event. You cannot change or cancel a pick after submitting it. If you do not have enough coins for a wager, the system blocks the submission.

Odds are calculated using a simple formula based on the MMR difference between the two sides. When two evenly matched players face off, the payout ratio is close to 1:1. When a Diamond-tier player meets a Silver-tier player, the odds shift so that picking the underdog pays significantly more. Odds lock at the moment the event starts and do not change after that.

Correct picks pay out immediately when the match result is verified. Your winnings are calculated from the odds at lock time multiplied by your wager. Coins land in your balance within seconds of the result posting. Disputed matches freeze associated picks until the dispute is resolved.

The Arena Picks leaderboard ranks players by net coin profit over the current season. It resets when a new season begins, though your lifetime accuracy percentage is tracked separately on your profile. Finishing in the top ten on the leaderboard at season end earns bonus coins and an exclusive badge. Consistent accuracy across a full season matters more than a few lucky high-wager hits.

Check Up tracks every stat from every verified match. The stats page on your player panel shows season averages, but the platform also supports filtering and comparing data across matches, opponents, and time periods. This article covers how to use the advanced stat tools.

The player stats page shows your per-game averages for the current season: points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, turnovers, and plus/minus. Below the averages you will find a game log with individual match stat lines. Each entry links to the full box score for that match.

The trends page goes deeper. It tracks your performance over time and surfaces patterns you might not notice from raw numbers. Hot and cold streaks are highlighted. Splits by opponent tier (games against Immortal-tier opponents vs Rookie-tier) show where your game holds up and where it breaks down. Milestone tracking alerts you when you are approaching career highs or achievement thresholds.

The compare page lets you put two players side by side. Select any two verified players and the system pulls their season stats, career averages, and head-to-head record. A radar chart visualizes the comparison across scoring, playmaking, rebounding, defense, and efficiency. This is the same tool scouts and captains use during Draft Night to evaluate talent.

For team-level analysis, the standings page shows win/loss records, point differentials, and strength of schedule for every team in the active season. Clicking a team opens their match history and roster composition. This data drives the Arena Picks odds and helps you make informed predictions.

All stats update within seconds of a match result being verified. There is no overnight batch processing or delayed sync. When you upload a box score and it verifies, the numbers are live immediately across every page that references them.

The Check Up leaderboard at checkup.gg/rankings is the public scoreboard for every verified player. It updates after every match and reflects current-season performance. Here is how the numbers work so you know exactly what you are looking at.

The primary sort is MMR. Every player starts the season at a soft-reset rating derived from their previous season's final MMR (compressed toward 1000 by a fixed percentage). New players begin at 1000. Each verified match moves your rating up or down based on the outcome and the MMR difference between you and your opponent. The formula gives more points for beating higher-rated players and fewer points for beating lower-rated ones. Losses follow the inverse pattern.

A minimum match threshold applies. Players must complete at least five verified matches in the current season to appear on the leaderboard. This prevents someone from playing one lucky game and sitting at an inflated rating all season. Until you hit five matches, your profile still tracks stats, but you will not show up in the public rankings.

Tiebreakers resolve cases where two or more players share the same MMR. The first tiebreaker is win rate. If two players sit at 1250 MMR but one is 30-10 and the other is 15-5, the player with more games gets the nod because the larger sample size makes the rating more reliable. The second tiebreaker is total matches played. The third is head-to-head record if the tied players have faced each other. If all three are equal, the player who reached the rating first holds the higher position.

Rank decay prevents inactive players from camping leaderboard spots. After 14 days without a verified match, your displayed rating drops by 15 points per week. Your true MMR is stored separately and does not change. When you return and play a match, your displayed rating snaps back to your actual MMR immediately. Decay only affects the leaderboard view, not matchmaking calculations.

Leaderboards can be filtered by platform (Xbox, PS5), position (PG, SG, SF, PF, C), and tier (Bronze through Diamond). The History tab shows your rating over time as a line chart so you can track your trajectory across the season. Season-end standings are frozen and archived when the season closes, so you can always look back at final placements from previous seasons.
